May 2nd - 3rd - Bitterns - RSPB Minsmere

Rather than fill the days account with pictures of Bitterns I have decided to post them all separately.  The days account show some, and explain how we came to see them, this separate post allows me juts to show some of the amazing pictures I was able to get, plus a clip of video.

Saturday May 2nd

These views were all from the Bittern Hide around 08.00 in the morning.

Sunday May 3rd

The following day we were treated to a wonderful show, this time from the Island Mere Hide, and at about 13.45 in the afternoon.

And in addition a clip of Sunday's Bittern walking around the open area in front of the Island Mere Hide.

Some fantastic views here, and in total we saw at least seven individual birds, in flight around the reserve.
